I live right around the corner and Lucky Star has always been my family’s go to Chinese place. Thought we’d try something different tonight and we’re glad we did. The staff was very nice and even recommended a few dishes. We tried the Dan Dan Noodles and Fried Dumplings. The noodles were amazing and I’d even try to add some chicken/beef and broccoli to make a meal of it next time. The Fried Dumpling were amazing. You could tell they make them here fresh. For entrees we tried a bunch of different things. A Beef Hot Pot, Toothpick Lamb and Sweet and Sour Chicken. The Sweet & sour Chicken was just as good as any other Americanized Chinese food. The Beef Hot Pot & Toothpick Lamb were more authentic but the seasoning overpowered the meals. It wasn’t bad, but it could’ve been much better if the seasoning wasn’t overdone & each individual ingredient stood out more. That being said we had a great experience and planning on coming back to try some more different entrees!

Very good dinner. We had stir fried spicy cabbage and smoked long hots. Excellent, not saucy, salty, or loaded with fillers. In the cabbage you could taste ginger and sechuan pepper; whole peppercorns. They tasted like smoked peppers; simple and delicious. They will adjust the spice, but we finally found a place that will make things really spicy. Great for vegetarians and vegans, even though the menu is loaded with meat. As well as the dishes on the menu, they will make other vegan dishes also. Just talk to the waiter or the host. The sizzling tofu at the table next to us looked delicious. The restaurant has plenty of parking. BYOB

One of the best authentic Chinese restaurants in this area. The flavor is just exquisite and the service is top notch. Their menu has a variety of dishes and they are all made fast and cooked to perfection. This restaurant never disappoints! Thank you for your amazing food!

My fiance and I ordered take out from here. She got the general tsos chicken and I got the cumin lamb. Her chicken was really good but my lamb was just ok. We also each got an egg roll and one order of crab Rangoon to split. They were both really good too. I definitely want to go back and try something other than the cumin lamb.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: Staff is always friendly and attentive. ATMOSPHERE: Clean interior and nicely maintained. It's honestly a bit outdated though and reminds me of a Chinese restaurant from the 90's, although there's no carpet anywhere, which is a plus. But as far as interior goes, it's kept in great condition and there's plenty of seating in a comfortable manner with tables spaced appropriately apart. VALUE: Portions are fair and the price is reasonable, it'll certainly be more expensive than take-out Chinese, but you get what you pay for here since it is indeed authentic mainland Chinese cuisine. EATS: Delicious! My favorites here are the cumin beef, dry pepper deep fried chicken, and spicy beef noodle soup. OVERALL: Andora Ping Pong is a gem for authentic mainland Chinese cuisine in the Andorra/Roxborough area. I personally prefer this over Han Dynasty in Manayunk. I find Han Dynasty to be slightly to salty for my preference. But Ping Pong is a great blend of authenticity, taste, and healthy-cooking. Highly recommend!
